What we have funded

Since 2022, 181 diverse green projects across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray have been awarded grants from the Just Transition PB Fund.

A just transition is both the outcome – a fairer, greener future for all – and the process that must be undertaken in partnership with those impacted by the transition to net zero.

This participatory budgeting fund is a driver for achieving a Just Transition to Net-Zero for Scotland, supporting more people to be involved in the decisions that affect them, their communities and the environment.

To find out more about the impactful projects supported so far by the JTPB Fund in the North East and Moray, you can read some stories and case studies below.

The van has colorful graphics featuring scientific and environmental icons such as wind turbines, solar panels, and DNA strands, along with the slogan "Unleash the Power of Curiosity." The building behind the van has stone and glass architecture, with a large window displaying the science center's name and logo.
