Based near Aboyne in Aberdeenshire, The Seed Box was awarded £20,000 to expand their services of providing horticultural training and outdoor therapy to adults with additional support needs. This funding has supported the purchase and installation of a shop and plant nursery at the new, additional site in Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

This new site will increase the number of co-workers that The Seed Box works with, as well as increasing sales of locally grown seasonal fruit, vegetables, jams, plants and flowers.

This funding has helped The Seed Box’s long-term plan of increasing the number of co-workers they support, encouraging people to grow more of their own produce and also supporting Scotland’s drive to net zero.
