JTPB Fund applications close in 1 week: £1.5million Funding for Green Projects in North East Scotland & Moray!

Backed by The Scottish Government's £500 million Just Transition Capital Fund, aimed at steering the North East’s economy toward net-zero, this year's Just Transition PB Fund introduces an impressive £1.5 million in support of eco-friendly projects.

Last year, the region witnessed the distribution of £1 million among various green community projects across Aberdeen city, Aberdeenshire, and Moray. This allocation was determined through public voting, reflecting the local community's preference for green projects within their area.

This year, the initiative continues its stride with a renewed allocation of £1.5 million for communities in the North East and Moray. Applications for the fund were opened on 26th June and we're now rapidly approaching the application deadline so make sure to submit your proposals before 12:00 PM on Monday, 4th September!

Once again the three Third Sector Interfaces for the Northeast and Moray - ACVO, Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action, and TSiMoray - are delivering the fund in partnership with Northeast Scotland’s Climate Action Network (NESCAN) Hub and Money for Moray.

Local grassroots community organisations are eligible to apply for capital funding of up to £50,000 for projects which focus on eco friendly solutions and sustainability, aligning with the shared goal of achieving net-zero in the region. Once the proposals are in, they'll be subjected to a public vote, allowing citizens to play an active role in deciding which projects will have the most significant impact in our communities.

If you're a non-profit, voluntary or charitable group community organisation in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire or Moray and have an idea for a green project, remember that applications for the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund close at 12:00 PM on Monday, 4th September. Don't miss out on this opportunity to drive positive change and secure funding for your environmentally-conscious projects!
