STEM at The Garvock Goodlife CIC

Electric Mower to Increase Nature Access

Funding requested: £26,127.21

About this project

STEM at The Garvock Goodlife is a social enterprise providing outdoor Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths sessions for young people in Aberdeenshire. We break down the walls for learning to experience STEM in an outdoor environment. We work particularly closely with neurodivergent young people struggling to access education in the classroom. Purchasing an electric ride-on mower and brushcutter will allow us to make a range of currently inaccessible outdoor areas at our re-wilded site available to young people for learning, including newly planted woodland and meadowland. Young people can then experience biodiversity first-hand and carry out STEM experiments outdoors.
