Roots to Rise is a community-powered project transforming an underused site in rural Aberdeenshire into a thriving, off-grid growing and learning hub. Young people will lead the way, gaining practical green skills in food growing, biodiversity restoration, and climate resilience, while creating wildlife habitats, planting native trees, and improving access to fresh, healthy food. The project will bring people of all ages together through seasonal events and shared action, tackling rural isolation while regenerating the land. Roots to Rise will be supporting a greener, fairer future where communities grow stronger, healthier, and more connected, powered by nature.
