Alford Valley Community Railway

Powering Our Heritage Railway with the Sun. We will install solar panels at our site to generate clean, renewable electricity for the railway. The project will reduce energy bills, protect us from future energy price rises and cut our carbon footprint, helping move the site closer to Net Zero. By investing in renewable energy today, we will make our heritage railway more financially and environmentally resilient for tomorrow. Visitors and volunteers will also see renewable technology working in practice, helping inspire others to consider greener energy solutions. Your vote will help turn sunshine into sustainable power for our railway’s future!
