Your votes have helped 37 new community led projects secure a share of £1 million in funding!

Thanks to votes from people across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray, a new wave of eco friendly, community led projects is now set to make a real difference.

With Year 4 of the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting (PB) Fund, local people helped decide how public money is invested to support a greener, fairer future. Following the public vote, 37 projects have secured a share of the £1 million 2025 funding pot, with £333,333 allocated to each local authority area.

Over the past four years, the Fund has supported 181 projects with £4.5 million in funding, helping communities cut carbon, build local resilience and tackle inequality.

This year’s results build on that success, showing how public voting helps turn local ideas into action and support cleaner, greener and more resilient communities across the North East of Scotland - thanks to all who took part!
