Alford Valley Community Railway are continuing the legacy of James Gordon to keep the well loved and popular 2ft gauge railway going and ensure its ongoing future. We wish to replace the remaining wooden sleepers in the system to plastic. We have already replaced 50% of the original sleepers and the award of this grant would enable us to complete the remainder of the line and ensure its viability into the future.
