What if we could fix it instead of throwing it away? We will transform a space in Mastrick Community Centre into a permanent community repair and reuse hub, giving local people access to tools, equipment and practical skills to repair bikes, clothing, furniture, electrical items and household goods. A Community Tool Library will let residents borrow equipment rather than buy it, while regular repair cafés and workshops will bring people together to share skills. The result: less waste, lower household costs, new green skills and a stronger, more self-sufficient community, putting practical climate action directly into the hands of residents.
