Aberdeen Science Centre

Reducing carbon emissions with destratification fans

Funding requested: £15,791.00

About this project

We need you to be our biggest fan! Aberdeen Science Centre would like to purchase and install 13 destratification fans to reduce carbon emissions, save energy and improve airflow at the Science Centre. Destratification fans constantly mix the air within the building, forcing warmer air back to ground level and breaking up the temperature layers, resulting in a more constant temperature throughout making it more comfortable for visitors and staff, as well as better for our environment. We estimate to save 3 tonnes of carbon emissions and reduce our energy bill by £3,000 each year.
