Aberdeen Care and Repair wish to take steps towards becoming a zero emissions charity through the purchase of an electric vehicle to deliver equipment/minor adaptations to older people living in Aberdeen City, and to collect, store and reuse modular ramps/rails. There would be a substantial reduction in the charity’s carbon footprint, increased awareness of environmental impact and the ability to reuse modular ramps/rails rather than disposal thus reducing the financial burdens. We would have the ability to reach vulnerable clients earlier, supplying aids and equipment to promote independent living reducing the need to use less environmentally friendly modes of transport.
