53rd Aberdeen Scout Group

Scout hall roof replacement and energy efficiency

Funding awarded: £36,500

Energy efficient buildings

About this project

The 53rd Aberdeen Scout Group is a voluntary charity organisation in the Craigiebuckler area of Aberdeen. The roof of our Scout Hut is very tired and outdated, having been funded and erected by volunteers several decades ago. Energy efficiency is very poor, and there is also a considerable condensation issue that in turn has caused irreversible water damage to the internal ceilings.

Together with funds from fundraising activities from several years, we would like to replace the roof and install modern insulation to improve energy efficiency and resolve the condensation issue, securing the sustainability of the building for future decades.
